Cameron Shayne has trained for more than 20 years in the martial arts, and for nearly a decade in hatha yoga and meditation techniques. He brought all three disciplines together in a new training method called Budokon, which he says is more than a workout - it's a complete, empowering way of looking at and living life.
"Yoga and martial arts are simply an external expression of ones internal being,” Cameron says. “Therefore by better organizing the way a person moves, we serve to better organize the way that person thinks and lives."
Beyond his method's physique-sculpting and agility benefits, he says its combination of disciplines offers a potent way to achieve lasting health and personal power. Cameron has been creating a buzz in Hollywood, training such celebrities and athletes as Jennifer Aniston, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Renee Russo, Amber Valetta, Kirtsy Hume, Meg Ryan and Kerri Walsh.
Cameron is a high-ranking black belt in both Olympic style taekwondo and Yoshukai karate, and has been called on for numerous film projects. Most notably, he was a martial arts trainer and fight scene choreographer for Chris Tucker in Rush Hour 1 & 2 and was a martial arts trainer for Renee Russo in the Lethal Weapon series.
Cameron shares his expertise through Budokon workshops and teacher training in the Los Angeles area and across the country, and through his Budokon home-media series from Gaiam.
