Madeleine Lewis

Health and fitness expert Madeleine Lewis is an award-winning fitness video star and choreographer, as well as an international workshop presenter. In her more than 20 years in the fitness industry, Madeleine has been featured in more than 60 workout videos, including programs for Kathy Smith, the National Aerobic Champions Series, Elle McPherson, Tracey Scoggins, IDEA and AFAA. No individual in the fitness industry has choreographed and/or starred in more bestselling videos.

Madeleine's popularity and credibility have been spotlighted nationally in many high-profile product endorsements. She has also received rave reviews from national publications, such as Allure, American Fitness, Glamour and The New York Times and has made several appearances on the “Today Show.”

Madeleine was a natural mover from childhood, beginning gymnastics lessons at the age of 13 and later majoring in dance at Loyola Marymount University. After she graduated, she was asked to come back to campus and teach a class called “Conditioning for Dancers.” This class was a precursor to a phenomenon that was soon to sweep the country called “aerobics.” As aerobics became more popular, Madeleine's popularity grew as well, culminating in her winning the California Shape aerobics competition and being recognized as one of the premier aerobics teachers in California.

Recently, Madeleine has focused her attention on stretching, because it is an essential, often overlooked, component of health and fitness. “Many people have looked at stretching as something you do for a few minutes before or after you exercise, but you should put as much into your flexibility training as you do your cardio and strength training to balance out the fitness triangle,” Madeleine says.

To that end, Madeleine created Get Moving for Weight Loss DVD.
